From a pioneering bourbon house with a restless spirit of innovation.
Woodford Reserve, crafted in the heart of Kentucky, is celebrated worldwide for its meticulous approach to whiskey-making. Launched in 2004, the Master’s Collection is Woodford Reserve’s annual showcase of boundary-pushing whiskey-making. Each limited-edition release explores new cask finishes, mash bills, or maturation techniques, offering collectors and enthusiasts a glimpse into the artistry of the distillery team. For the 2024 edition, Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall turned to the sun-soaked island of Madeira, finishing bourbon, rye, and wheat whiskies in fortified wine casks before blending them with Woodford’s fruit-forward Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey. The result is a whiskey that amplifies fruit, spice, and floral tones in a way that feels both familiar and entirely new.  

Dark cherries and candied orange peel dusted with cocoa on the  nose, lifted by hints of clove, nutmeg, and cedar.  
On the palate there's a rich interplay of oak, cinnamon, and tobacco box, unfolding into layers of dried fruits—raisin, cranberry, and fig—balanced by bright peppery spice.  
Long and warming on the finish, with lingering berry fruit, toasted nuts, and a final echo of dark chocolate.  

This Madeira Cask Edition is a testament to Woodford Reserve’s ability to honor tradition while embracing innovation—an elegant, fruit-forward whiskey that rewards both the curious newcomer and the seasoned collector.
