This release marks a huge milestone for the Wolfburn distillery, their first ever 12 year old whisky. Matured in a combination of refill ex-Oloroso sherry casks and ex-bourbon barrels, showing the classic distillery style of sweet floral honey and a thread of subtle peat smoke. A medley of dried fruit and a touch of burnt sugar (creme brulee) are joined by soft baking spices and a lingering presence of earthy peat smoke in the finish.
