
Pietra Pura Primitivo Hyria 2023
Wine produced with selected grapes in the southern area of Apulia region, cultivated with the traditional sapling and vinified with thermo-controlled maceration followed by a soft pressing of the must at the end of fermentation. 30% of the wine is aged in barriques for one year, the remaining part in steel for the same period. Purple-red color with black-violet reflections, intense and persistent aroma with hints of red fruit. Full-bodied and soft wine, with a nice balanced finish.
The Pietra Pura wines are a special line of the house Rocca delle Macìe the winery of renowned film maker, Italo Zingarelli, of 'They Call me Trinity' fame, who realised his dream of making wine in 1973 when he acquired the estate "Le Macie".
Italo's love and passion for the Tuscan countryside was passed on to his sons Sergio and Fabio and his daughter Sandra. In 1985, Sergio, Italo's youngest son, took over responsibility for the worldwide distribution network and in 1989, together with his wife Daniela, was appointed President of the company. With an area of 93 hectares, it offers ideal conditions for excellent wine within the Chianti appellation. Today, the company is internationally active and unites several brands and estates under its roof.
