Longrow 'Cadenhead' 23yo 700mL
This Longrow 23‑year‑old is a heavily peated Campbeltown single malt from Springbank Distillery, bottled by Cadenhead’s as part of their Original Collection. Distilled in 2002, fully matured in Oloroso sherry hogsheads, and bottled in February 2026 at 43.7% ABV, it’s a long‑aged, sherry‑rich expression that layers coastal character with deep fruit and smoke. The official notes highlight rockpools, mango, cigar boxes and fresh tobacco on the nose; peaches, grilled pineapple, seasalt and coffee beans on the palate; and a finish of soft campfire smoke, toasted marshmallows, mortadella and molasses. It’s classic Longrow: oily, coastal, smoky, and surprisingly tropical. A mature Campbeltown powerhouse with real elegance
Founded in 1842, Cadenhead’s is Scotland’s oldest independent bottler and the godfather of the “no‑nonsense, no‑makeup” whisky movement. Their philosophy is gloriously simple: bottle whisky exactly as it is: natural colour, no chill‑filtration, cask strength whenever possible. And let the distillate speak for itself.
They specialise in single casks and small batches that highlight distillery character over cask trickery, often revealing sides of well‑known distilleries you never see in official releases.
Cadenhead’s is beloved by whisky geeks for its honesty, eccentricity, and the occasional curveball cask that reminds you why indie bottlers matter.
