Johanneshof Maybern Pinot Noir Rose
A light rose colour. Heavenly scented aromas of violets, red melon, rhubarb and a touch of almond.
Although dry in style, its luscious palate makes it an instantly appealing wine with a very soft acidity. Flavours reminiscent of summer carry the theme of a berry compote - raspberries, strawberries and cherries all intermingle. A core of nutty and earthy tones shows the terroir of the Maybern vineyard with its clay and sandstone subsoils. The Johanneshof Rosé is an elegant, yet gutsy wine finishing long and incredibly smooth.
Nestled in Marlborough’s Koromiko hills, Johanneshof Cellars is a boutique winery that blends European tradition with New Zealand clarity. Founded in 1991 by Edel Everling and Warwick Foley, it’s renowned for handcrafted aromatics and méthode traditionnelle sparkling wines, all matured in New Zealand’s first underground rock cellar. Their Gewürztraminer is a standout—floral, spicy, and consistently award-winning—while the Emmi Brut and Grüner Veltliner showcase finesse and quiet depth. Sustainability and regenerative viticulture are central to their ethos, making Johanneshof not just a winery, but a labour of love shaped by soil, silence, and time
