This single malt from Dailuaine is one of the first to join the core range from indie bottler James Eadie! Matured for a total of 10 years, the whisky was treated to a finish in European oak oloroso sherry casks imparting generous layers of juicy stone fruits and cakey spice.
On the nose, there are juicy notes of stewed plums, apple and rhubarb crumble, chocolate raisins open the way while gentle notes of leathery oak cushion fragrant cinnamon and spice.
The stone fruits carry through on the palate, with cooked plums and peaches, toasted marzipan, and sherry soaked sultanas.
Finishing with clove, cinnamon snaps, chocolate fondant, a touch of root ginger and chilli heat, with liquorice and cardamom in tow.
