Edradour 'Quinta de Sao Francisco Estremadura Wine Finish' 15yo 700mL
This cask strength gem from Edradour Distillery has spent the last 33 months of its maturation in a parcel of Portuguese Quinta de Sao Francisco casks. After fifteen years of maturation there are rich notes of wine soaked dried fruits, sweet spice, plum wine and orange peel with hints of leather
Edradour, founded in 1825 in Pitlochry, Perthshire, is one of Scotland’s most picturesque and traditional distilleries, long celebrated as the country’s smallest. For much of its history it produced only a handful of casks each week, and even after its 2018 expansion it remains a boutique operation. Since being acquired in 2002 by Andrew Symington of Signatory Vintage, Edradour has focused on single malts and distinctive cask-led releases, championing authenticity through handmade methods, worm tubs, and long fermentations. Its house style is dense and nutty, often matured in sherry or wine casks, while its peated line, Ballechin, shows the distillery’s versatility. With non-chill filtration, natural color, and a philosophy of small-batch craftsmanship, Edradour continues to embody the charm of Highland whisky “the way it used to be.”
