The final chapter in the Equilibrium trilogy, this 22-year-old Highland Single Malt is a masterclass in balance, marrying the depth of sherry with the complexity of peat. A blend of medium-peated 1997 and 2000 vintages, it was refill matured, sherry finished, and then harmonized in refill sherry casks before bottling at 53%. The result is a whisky of exceptional richness—layered, luxurious, and elegantly composed.
Tasting Notes: Nose: Deep, old-school cream sherry notes entwined with pipe and cigar tobacco, rancio, and earthy undertones. Dry, herbal, and peppery peat smoke lingers, adding depth and refinement.
Palate: The peat asserts itself with confidence, perfectly counterbalanced by luscious sherry sweetness. Dark fruits, treacle, and hints of chewing tobacco meld with a subtle smoked rancio character.
