A stunning single cask of 1963 58 year old Armagnac from Chateau de Gaube. A total no-brainer and impossible to resist once tasted. We felt this was the perfect choice as one of our introductory NAS bottlings.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: stunning dark fruits layered with soft wood spices, cigar humidor, pipe tobacco and cocoa power. An ancient and classically rustic Armagnac but with aspects which nod towards some Cognac qualities too.

Palate: many shades of fruit with stunning earthiness, rancio and toasted spice notes. Layered, deeply complex, evolving and really beautiful.

Finish: long, sappy, earthy, mentholated and still persistently full of dark fruits.
