In the eastern foothills of the Massif Central, near the dramatic Gorges de la Loire, the Sérol family estate thrives under the careful stewardship of Stéphane Sérol and his wife, Carine. Since taking over from his father in 1996, Stéphane has dedicated himself to honoring the region’s unique terroir, selecting high-altitude granite soils (400–500 meters) as the ideal sites for replanting vines.

At the heart of their vineyards is the indigenous Gamay Saint Romain, a grape variety perfectly suited to these rugged slopes. Farmed biodynamically, each vine is tended by a team of up to 15 during the growing season, ensuring that the natural character of the land is captured in every bottle.
