Isle of Harris 'Adelphi' 2018/7yo Single Cask Bottling 700mL
Youthful island energy meets Adelphi’s cask‑selecting precision in this vibrant 7‑year‑old from the Isle of Harris. Briny sea‑spray freshness opens the door, followed by lemon peel, green apple, and a lively malt sweetness that feels like a windswept picnic on the Outer Hebrides. At 57.9%, it carries a bold, maritime snap, but the palate stays wonderfully balanced. Peppery, coastal, and full of character. A spirited young islander with charm, and a finish that lingers like salt on your lips after a walk along the shore.
Adelphi is one of Scotland’s most revered independent bottlers, known for its uncompromising standards and rare single cask releases. Originally founded as a distillery in Glasgow in 1826, the name was revived in 1993 by Jamie Walker, who began sourcing exceptional casks from across Scotland. Today, Adelphi bottles only a tiny fraction of the casks it evaluates. Eeach chosen for its outstanding character and bottled without chill filtration or added colour. In 2014, they took things a step further by opening the Ardnamurchan Distillery on Scotland’s rugged west coast, blending modern sustainability with traditional craft.
