Caledonia 12 Year Old is Edradour’s heartfelt collaboration with Scottish songwriter Dougie MacLean, named after his famous ballad.
Fully matured in Oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 46% ABV, it’s a whisky that sings of Highland richness.
The nose brims with sultanas, figs, and honey, while the palate delivers liquid Christmas cake, toasted almonds, and orange spice, rolling over the tongue with syrupy depth. The finish is warming, spicy, and dry, a timeless echo of traditional Highland malt. Non-chill filtered and naturally colored, Caledonia is a dram for those who crave whisky “the way it used to be”. Rich, soulful, and unmistakably Scottish.

Edradour, founded in 1825 in Pitlochry, Perthshire, is one of Scotland’s most picturesque and traditional distilleries, long celebrated as the country’s smallest. For much of its history it produced only a handful of casks each week, and even after its 2018 expansion it remains a boutique operation. Since being acquired in 2002 by Andrew Symington of Signatory Vintage, Edradour has focused on single malts and distinctive cask-led releases, championing authenticity through handmade methods, worm tubs, and long fermentations. Its house style is dense and nutty, often matured in sherry or wine casks, while its peated line, Ballechin, shows the distillery’s versatility. With non-chill filtration, natural color, and a philosophy of small-batch craftsmanship, Edradour continues to embody the charm of Highland whisky “the way it used to be.”
