Distilled in December 2016 and bottled in April 2023, this single‑cask Ardnamurchan was selected by North Star Spirits for Cask Series 22. Matured for six years in a first‑fill Oloroso sherry butt, it was released non‑chillfiltered, naturally coloured, and at a robust cask strength of 58.5%, with only 396 bottles produced. This young Ardnamurchan shows the distillery’s coastal, lightly smoky character wrapped in rich sherry influence. The nose offers wet varnish and red kola cubes, leading into a palate of menthol aniseed balls and liquorice comforts. The finish brings Pontefract cake and caramelised banana, leaving a warm, distinctive impression. A vivid, characterful Highland single cask that highlights both distillery identity and sherry‑butt intensity.
