Ardnamurchan Midgie is a whisky inspired by Scotland’s tiniest but most persistent creature, the Highland midge. This limited release marries 75% unpeated spirit with 25% peated, matured in a mix of ex‑bourbon barrels, Port barriques, and a touch of sherry casks. The nose brims with torched pineapple, strawberry jam, almond oil, and spearmint, while the palate delivers salt‑baked pear, wildflowers, cocoa, and pink peppercorns, finishing with a gentle puff of smoke and a lingering sweet‑salty balance.
Bottled at 48% ABV, un‑chill filtered and natural in colour, it’s a dram that buzzes with personality. Mischievous, memorable, and perfect for summer evenings.
