Huntress is the personal, deeply place‑driven project of Wairarapa winemaker Jannine Rickards, who crafts wild, textural wines that honour the whenua and the people who farm it. Working with hand‑picked fruit from organic‑minded growers across Wairarapa and Hawke’s Bay, she leans into wild ferments, skin contact, older oak, and minimal handling to preserve purity, tension, and a sense of the land. The wines are expressive, culinary, and quietly adventurous. Each vintage shaped by intuition, season, and a commitment to honest, sustainable farming.
