Distilled in 2012 and matured for 11 years, this Glentauchers spent its final period in a Pedro Ximénez sherry puncheon before being bottled by Alistair Walker in 2023. Just 682 bottles were released, and the cask influence is immediately clear.
The nose shows creamy chocolate praline, nutty malt, toasted oak, and gentle cinnamon. The palate follows with rich cacao, roasted coffee, stewed stone fruits, maple syrup, and fruitcake spice, all carried by the distillery’s naturally soft, fruit‑forward spirit. It finishes with malt, toasted vanilla, a touch of liquorice, and clove. A composed, full‑flavoured Speyside single cask with a clear PX signature and excellent balance.

Infrequent Flyers is the passion project of Alistair Walker, son of the legendary Billy Walker, and one of the most consistently exciting indie bottlers in Scotland today. The label specialises in single casks and small parcels that showcase distillery character in its purest form. No chill‑filtration, no colouring, and always bottled at natural cask strength. Each release leans into individuality rather than house style: quirky finishes, unusual cask types, and distilleries you rarely see outside official bottlings.
The result is a catalogue of whiskies that feel like postcards from the hidden corners of Scotland’s still rooms. Honest, characterful, and often delightfully left‑field.
