Domaine d'Aupilhac Lou Maset 2022
Lou Maset is the domaine’s invitation to the table: a convivial red that captures the warmth and generosity of Montpeyroux. Certified organic and biodynamic, it’s a blend of 40% Cinsault, 30% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, and 10% Carignan, grown on poor limestone gravel soils and harvested by hand. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in vats for 10 months, it’s crafted for freshness and drinkability.
In the glass, it shows a bright ruby hue with aromas of ripe red berries, wild herbs, and a subtle animal note. The palate is vigorous yet silky, bursting with juicy cherry and raspberry, layered with spice and a touch of earthiness. Tannins are supple, the finish lightly spiced and refreshing, making it a wine that’s as at home with charcuterie and grilled meats as it is with a simple weeknight meal.
