Hawke's Bay

Merlot (49%) Cabernet Sauvignon (43%) Cabernet Franc (8%)

Dark crimson with a bright purple hue. Complex aromas of plum and blackberry, with hints of cedar. Succulent and concentrated dark fruit flavors with ripe, soft tannins. It has a structural, savoury, and long finish, showcasing a balanced acid/tannin profile.

A yarn:

Grapes sourced from various estate vineyards in Hawkes Bay, including Havelock Hills, Bridge Pa Triangle, Gimblett Gravels, and Dartmoor Valley. Individual parcels of each variety were de-stemmed and underwent warm fermentation, followed by extended maceration on skins. The wines were then pressed and underwent malolactic fermentation in tanks. Matured for 12 months in a mix of new and seasoned French oak barrels. Blended and traditionally fined with egg white before bottling
